It's been a while

One Year Anniversary Dinner at Magnolia's.

Some lovin's.

Shari's little one Damien.
Cooper trying to stamp. He did a great job helping me!
Our cute engagement cards. Shari and I started them, Coop helped finish them up.

So, the weeks have flown by since the engagement, school starting, etc. I've barely had a chance to slow down these days.

I have a lot to catch you up on. I have a lot of pictures to share including fun times with Shari (a great friend and my wedding planner!), a baseball game and bike ride with my photographer friend Sri Thumati, stamping cards with Cooper....yes...Cooper was stamping!

Cooper and I have been researching about our special day. We think we finally have a venue, decided on which church, and have a March 29th date! A couple weeks ago Shari and I started stamping the engagement cards and Cooper helped too.
Jill Higgins http://www.jillhiggins.com/ came to town this weekend and shot engagement pics of Coop and I. We had so much fun with some shots at the cistern downtown, then on the Cooper River Bridge for night shots. We had a blast with Jill. Thank you!

I'll post pictures soon, but my card has been misplaced. I think my brother stole the card. He must be up to something. Cooper and his friend Wayne went fishing this weekend and caught a shark. We cooked it up tonight and my brother came over to join us. As soon as I got home, my card in my camera was gone. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. He must have it.

This week, Sandra Canales my friend from Charlotte comes in for the party on Thursday. I also have a tennis match that night. Friday is the engagement party and then dress shopping on Saturday. Fun weekend ahead!

Kid Time

We've been going to the pool....here's Ms. Jolie with her superwoman swimsuit on. She's so happy to have caught the ice cream truck!
We stopped by The Body Shop and she just had to have some make-up put on. Don't tell her mom okay? It was fun and then we both tried some makeup...
How do we look? I never wear eyeshadow, so it was great!
We then went out for some pizza. The kids love it...can you tell? By the way, We ALL ate the same amount....including little Jolie.
Then we headed to Rita's for Gelato's. Yummy! Inshal got a BLENDINI. Yes, he does have a mustache people. It's not fake. The kid is 13 years old and wears a size 13 shoe. He's a giant and easily gives me piggy back rides. Tomorrow we are going to see Mama Linda, in D.C., so we can't wait to head out there after church. Jomary and Franz are presenting at a marriage encounter weekend. They will be back tomorrow night.

donkeys

My sister was focusing on the road and I screamed...........I'm engaged.....the donkey was me.......... She almost hit another car, literally. She was dreaming that Jolie wouldn't have to be a junior bridesmaid, but hoping that she could be a flowergirl instead. Yaaaa baby, she will be a flowergirl.

Hangin' in Maryland

The family picked me up at the airport and I hadn't told them yet, so I was dying to tell them. I was going to see them 1 day after the proposal, so I figured I could wait. I told the kids a story about two donkeys who went kayaking and of course the end entailed the boy donkey asking the girl donkey to marry him. At first, on one got it......especially my sister. .............................................................

Really

Okay, Okay, I was just kidding, here is the real ring and here is a picture of us after the kayaking trip. Cooper took a few months to have the ring custom made, it's exactly what I wanted!
The rock's weight threw me into the water and I started sinking. Cooper jumped right in after me and saved my life. He's just the best!

Here is the ring. He wanted something simple and small. I loved it because I needed to start weighlifting again anyway!

Engagement

Everyone's been asking about what happened on August 5, 2007.....The tale goes like this. Cooper and I had the best day on Sunday. We went to a new church near Kiawah Island called Holy Spirit Catholic Church, then he had planned on going to his grandpa's country house, but we went to Kiawah Island instead. We went to the coffeeshop and played a game of checkers while sipping on coffee, then the phone rang and it was my cousin from India questioning me about when I planned on getting married. He reminded me that I was the last one to be married on my mom's side. He even spoke to Cooper and Coop responded that it's in the process. We decided to go for a walk along a trail at Kiawah (it was 95* or so that day and we were in our church clothes!) it was so hot, we headed back to my house. Cooper asked if I wanted to go kayaking and my response was ....of course! We went down to his parent's house, got the kayaks out, and Cooper packed some wine. We took a different path than usual, and he asked if I wanted to stop on a dock and have a glass of wine. I asked him if he wanted to race me and we sped to the dock. He definitely beat me, but I gave him a run for his money. We sat on the dock and relaxed, then he asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. You know my answer. He then slipped this rock on my finger. .............................
